TOPIC: "TALK TO YOUR COMPUTER LIKE A DEVELOPER"
Â
More and more of our lives are lived inside the virtual worlds of computers. The power of code - the laws of these virtual worlds - is beyond measure. The world needs more people of good will to take up the skills of software development to make a positive impact in the world.
That is why we have created the top-secret TwilioQuest program. And it is why you have been selected to undergo special training to become an Operator - a software developer, a builder, a champion of justice, equipped to create software destined to touch billions of lives.
In this episode, you will learn about different kinds of interfaces to a computer. In particular, you will learn about command line interfaces that enable you to give your computer lower-level instructions. Finally, you will learn how to string multiple commands together in a script. This will be your first step on a journey to learn what code is, and how it works.
After the session, we will be sending you some follow-up work that can be done using our interactive videogame, TwilioQuest.Â
